The public fishing pier on the Tivoli River is one of the main reasons Jim Leahy chose to call Coastal Georgia home. He grew up in Maryland fishing and crabbing the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware Coast, “But to be able to throw a cast-net and pull up fat shrimp by the pound can’t be beat." After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Maryland, Jim spent more than a decade in the art world of California, “But I always knew I’d eventually get back to the East Coast.” In 2001, Jim and his family crossed the country and found Bryan County and it’s Ogeechee River irresistible. |
